Airline Security

 Airline security

Having had it announced yesterday that mobile devices are no longer a threat to a plane’s security, and can be used on-board in “Airplane Mode”, at least part of what seems to have been a hoax has been lifted.

Technical experts have told me that the real reason for wanting to get people off their phones has nothing to do with security but because as you move around the country your signals have to jump to a new microwave tower when out of reach of the last one. On a plane with say 200 people on line travelling at high speed, the signals have to jump very quickly and this could screw up their systems.

I had always wondered why if phones were such a danger they were not removed before embarkation along with my 4cm nail clippers.

The real question remains whether anyone is ever going to come clean, why none of the media outlets I contacted to broadcast this ever took up the story and the big question, if the airline industry can put this one over us, what else are they not telling us?
