With P.J.Nelson & Co having originally been formed to advise small business start-ups and their subsequent expansion and diversification, this was one of the core areas of company expertise in 1964 and followed on since. The experience which has stood in good stead over the years was founded on the owner of the company having to learn all lessons the hard way with hands-on involvement. The guiding kudos was "Never advise on anything you haven’t tried to do yourself".
