P.J.Nelson & Company carried out consumer attitude surveys which while small operations were never the less part of the launch of The Australian national newspaper. Assisting small business start-ups, one successful venture was for a "one stop shop" providing household services. Little by little the assignments grew and eventually moved into advice on acquisitions.
